The tour departs from the marina pier near the Lake Biwa Bridge. The marina is within walking distance from Ono Station on the JR Kosei Line for those coming by train.

You do not need a marine license to operate a vessel.
There are no age or other requirements.

Please run the boat under the direction of the captain who will accompany you.
The captain will operate the vessel in restricted waters, when there are many other vessels, or when there are strong winds or swell of waves.

Departing from the marina, we will first head for Shirahage Shrine. This is the oldest shrine in Omi (Shiga) with a history of over 2,000 years. Enjoy the underwater Otorii (Grand Gate) from a very close distance, which cannot be seen from the land.

The area is surrounded by the rich nature of Mount Hira, and clean water flows into the lake. Many people say they had no idea that Lake Biwa has such clean water. This is one of the areas in the vast Lake Biwa where the water is considered to be the cleanest. Enjoy a sumptuous BBQ lunch at the AFUMI glamping facility located here.

Cook a 200g steak or pizza using a gas grill. AFUMI staff will explain how to use the grill and how to cook, so even beginners can enjoy the BBQ with ease.

Omi beef, one of Japan's top three cuts of beef, is served on the BBQ. Please enjoy the delicious fatty flavor with a refreshing aftertaste.
If you wish to upgrade to Omi beef, please make your request at least 4-5 days prior to your scheduled date.

The café is also open, so you can order individual meals and additional drinks. There is no children's glamping BBQ menu. Pasta, pizza, fries, etc. can be ordered at Cafe AFUMI.

After enjoying the glamping BBQ, return to the marina by boat.
Guests can also drive the boat on the return trip if they wish.

Guests who have consumed alcohol are not allowed to drive.
