Cruising departs from the Kita-Komatsu boarding station on the west (middle) side of Lake Biwa
Cars can be parked at AFUMI, a glamping resort located at the North Komatsu boarding area.
Here, apart from glamping accommodations, there is also a café.

Shirahige Shrine, a large torii standing in the water of Lake Biwa
It is the oldest shrine in Omi (Shiga) with a history of over 2,000 years.
This is a power spot famous as the god of long life, as it is called Shirahige (white beard) Shrine.
It can be seen from land, but only from a remote viewing platform.
A boat can get close enough to touch it. The boat will be at a certain distance so as not to damage the torii gate.
Pray for the health of your dog and the whole family.
After cruising, enjoy a relaxing meal or café at CAFE AFUMI, located right in front of the ship.
Terrace and sandy beach seats are available for dogs.

I definitely recommend the Shirahige Shrine and Offshore Shiraishi Course.
Unlike the Shirahige Shrine Cruise, which runs along the shore, Offshore Shiraishi is in the middle of Lake Biwa's offshore waters.
The water depth is over 80 meters, and the atmosphere is completely different.

In addition to regular cruise courses, there are also cherry blossom viewing cruises in spring and one-night cruises to the Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival.
No need for traffic jams, crowds, or place-holders as both Hanami and Fireworks are by boat!
